It was Spring semester 1995, Senior year of Berkeley High School and Mr. Sayles' media arts class was an easy A. What I didn't know was this would be my introduction to what will eventually become my career. I volunteered to edit our final video project (a commercial we developed). No one in my group seemed interested in doing the editing, so I volunteered thinking it would be fun. I was drawn to the craft immediately and even though back then you had to rent studio space and use a linear tape to tape machine with VHS' I could feel the excitement of tailoring a story and creating a reaction from the viewer.

After earning a Bachelor Degree in Media Arts and a Minor in sound design from the University of Arizona (where I also served as Captain and Team President of the Lacrosse Club). My passion for storytelling brought me to Los Angeles In 2000.  While being a part of the entertainment industry for 16 years I have earned my editing experience through multiple facets of film and tv.
Starting as a Jr. assistant editor at the award winning creative design firm, Imaginary Forces, I was able to learn the ins and outs of post-production and be part of some of the highest quality execution of main title sequences (Spider-Man,  Band of Brothers), re-brands (Comedy Central) and commercials (IBM).

EPK

I continued my career as an assistant editor at Playground Media Group, a production company specializing in EPK packages and DVD special features for feature films. I quickly moved up to Editor, editing EPK featurettes and DVD special features for "Miracle" starring Kurt Russell, "Mr. 3000" starring Bernie Mac, "Around the World in 80 days" starring Jackie Chan, Golden Girls DVD box set, and "A Life Aquatic" starring Bill Murray.

Then for the next 10 years I earned editing credits on multiple broadcast tv shows. Gaining experience in the most popular tv genres: reality, documentary, docu-drama, action sports, comedy, Biopics, clipshows, AND live events. Including the documentary "Fruits of War" for PBS Truly Ca., the Hosted Documentary episodic "Automaniacs" for History Channel, and the Docu-Drama "First In: Compton" for BET.
Although not a millennial, for the past 4 yrs I have been submerged in millennial culture. Editing large volumes of digital content for the ScionAV YouTube channel, the lifestyle brand Frank151, and the web series' "The Muthaship" and "Legends of Gaming" for Endemol Beyond, the digital arm of the global production company Endemol Shine Group.

An Avid, Premiere, and FCP expert with a strong sense of story and a background in sound design, I would be an asset to any project.  l can craft a project from start to finish, which creates emotion and conveys a strong story arc. I'm known for my speed and execution, and am often pulled onto projects that are in trouble.
I am an excellent project manager with the skills to do finishing, color correcting for broadcast, and GFX integration.  I am highly skilled in high-stressed and tight deadline post-production environments.  With the ability to work unsupervised or closely with a producer and/or director.

Currently I am seeking work in TV, Web, or film that excites me and continues to give audiences new and moving experiences. I have goals to work on more documentaries and try my hand in scripted tv and feature films if the opportunity arises.
